Areas of Specialty
Individual Therapy
I am trained in treating people across the lifespan from young children to older adults. I provide psychotherapy to those struggling with a range of anxiety disorders (phobias, social anxiety, selective mutism, OCD, tics, and generalized anxiety), depression, low self-esteem, disruptive behavior, ADHD and grief or loss. I treat children navigating developmental hurdles including sibling and peer conflict, parent-child relationship challenges, and school adjustment difficulties. I help adolescents and young adults navigate their desire for autonomy and independence as well low self-esteem, academic and social pressure, social media anxiety, and challenging family dynamics. My goal with all of my clients is to improve their functioning and reduce their stress in a manner that is respectful, flexible, and effective.
Parent Coaching
I provide parent coaching for children of all ages across the lifespan, from toddlers to young adults. I incorporate a deep understanding of development and offer practical guidance and hands-on advice. Some parents seek guidance to utilize practical strategies when there are less significant challenges, while other parents consult with me when they are facing significant stressors with their child. Research suggests that working with parents is equally as effective as working directly with a child. Let me be your coach so that you can be the best parent to your child and allow your child to thrive.
Navigating the road to parenthood… and beyond
The road to becoming a parent can be unpredictable and stressful. Whether you are on a conception journey, struggling with fertility issues, IVF, or contending with perinatal or postpartum mood disorders, I am here to work with you. We will work together to help you wherever you find yourself on the road to parenthood.
Consultation
I am happy to provide one-time or multiple-time consultations to those that are looking to determine if therapy is appropriate for them as well as to parents who are looking to see if therapy is the next best step for their child. I will listen to the presenting concerns and provide expert feedback regarding next steps. Additionally, I consult with schools to determine how best to support clients in their learning environment.
Supervision
I have had the pleasure of supervising predoctoral and postdoctoral students in their own therapeutic practice. I value collaboration and engagement with other professionals.
